The Aviary images are created for a weekly Twitter activity hosted by Colour Collective. A random colour is presented and participants create and show their contributions. I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of creating for a deadline and have built some great relationships with the other members of the collective. It's a great environment to share and develop visual ideas.
I chose the theme of birds to provide a focus and create an opportunity to explore the negative space that the colours provided. I also like the idea that if I were to own an aviary these would be the birds I would keep there. I'm expecting new arrivals to fly in every week!
